Coaching Disabled Footballers Course
Northamptonshire Football Association will be running a Coaching Disabled Football course on Wednesday 12th March 2008.
Disability Football is embedded in the Football Associations national development plan and as a result the expectation of disabled players has risen accordingly. England disability teams sit high in the world rankings and an increasing number of disabled players want the opportunity to play at the highest level.
Good coaching at grass roots level is essential in order for all players to maximise their potential.
The CDF course aims to:
Extend existing coaching skills to meet needs of players with a range of impairments
Establish basic communication skills for coaching disabled footballers
Use appropriate terminology
Plan a wide range of coaching sessions for disabled footballers
Use / understand the inclusion spectrum
Understand player pathways available within the County
The course in open to coaches who have a minimum of a Level 1, Certificate in Coaching Football qualification.

Time – 11.00am – 4.00pm
Course Fee - £40.00
The course will include both practical and theory session. Lunch will also be provided
