Womens and Girls Football Community Coach

Steve Healy has been appointed as the new ‘Girls & Women’s Football Community Coach’ for Northamptonshire FA.

Previously to this role he worked for MK Dons FC FITC, Rushden & Diamonds FC FITC, and spent a year working in America for a MLS team ‘New York Red Bulls’ as a Football Development Officer. Additionally he worked with Charter Standard clubs as a volunteer coach in Bedfordshire. 

He is a FA Level 2 coach, currently working towards a FA Level 3. He also has a BSc (Hons) in Sport Studies from De Montfort University.

The main purpose of his role will be providing a structured coaching service for schools and Charter Standard clubs within Northampton, along with assisting schools and clubs to achieve Charter Standard status. 

Aims and objectives for this coming season are to;
• Establish more schools and clubs as Charter Standard
• Perform coaches workshops
• Increase no.’s of girls and women’s participation level
• Provide a female specific coaching course
