The FA Futsal Finals took place this weekend, and Havelock Junior School represented the county brilliantly, finishing an very credible third place.

With the opposition arriving from various Futsal Teams and Academies around the country, Havelock Junior School headed to Sheffield as Northamptonshire's representatives.

In the group stage, Havelock's opening fixture saw a 1-1 draw with Prees Tigers (Shropshire), before then going on to beat St Benets Wasps from Suffolk 3-1.

The third group fixture then finished with a fantastic 3-1 victory over the very established London Futsal Club, before completing the group stages with another victory, this time beating Selwood Middle School from Bristol 3-2.

Qualification for the semi-finals then saw Havelock matched with Westella & Willerby from Hull. Despite them having 6 academy players in their squad, the contest was extremely even, but with the score at 1-1, the Hull-based boys broke away and scored with just 5 seconds left on the clock.

In the end, the team finished a fantastic third place, and the Northamptonshire FA would like to thank all the boys along with team coach Richard Jacques for representing the county so well.
