The Football Foundation

  • Build The Game
    • Provides small grants for facility projects that demonstrate they can support the growth and retention of grassroots football. The maximum grant available is £50,000 and there is no limit to the total cost of a project this could contribute towards.
  • Facilities Scheme
    • The facilities scheme provides money to develop new or improve facilities for community benefit. These include changing rooms or clubhouses, grass or artificial pitches and multi-use games areas.
      • The Foundation aims to support projects that:
        • Improve facilities for football and other sports in local communities
        • Sustain or increase participation amongst children and adults, regardless of background, age or ability.
        • Help children and adults develop their physical, mental, social and moral capacities through regular participation in sport.
  • Football Stadia Improvement Fund: The fund provides grant aid to clubs at all levels of football, from the Football League to Step 7 and below who wish to improve their facilities. Funding is available dependent on level and status of applicant club.

Sport England

  • Small Grants 
    • The Sport England Small Grants Programme uses lottery funding to make awards of between £300 and £10,000 to not-for-profit organisations to deliver new community projects to either grow or sustain participation in sport or to support talent development
  • Sportsmatch 
    • Sportsmatch makes awards to non profit organisations that have secured sponsorship to deliver new community projects to either grow or sustain participation in sport.
    • Awards between £1,000 and £100,000 can be made to match funding from no more than five sponsors, with each sponsor contributing a minimum of £1,000. Sport England funding for the project must be spent by 31st March 2012.

The National Lottery will bring funding to local areas to create a legacy from the 2012 Olympic and paralympic Games in three areas; People, Places, Play

  • Cash 4 Clubs offers all sports clubs in the UK the chance to win grants ranging from £250 to £1,000

Premier League

  • New Football Kit Scheme Launched
    • Premier League players are to fund a football kit and equipment scheme for young people. The squads of all 20 Barclays Premier League clubs to create a new £500,000 fund that will provide U16's clubs with free football kit and equipment.

Torch Trophy Trust

  • The Trust provides small Bursaries to assist volunteers in sport and presents Awards to individuals who have been identified as making an outstanding contribution as a volunteer in their chosen sport.
