Funding for New Teams Now Open!

The 2017 Charter Standard Growth Fund, available to support the creation of new teams within Charter Standard Football Clubs in Northamptonshire, is inviting applications.

We have a number of £500 grants available for new teams within the following priority areas:

•    New female teams - aged U7 to adults
•    New male teams - aged U14 to adults
•    New veterans teams – aged 35+
•    New disability teams - aged U7 to adults

Clubs can apply for a grant of £500, which can be spent on affiliation fees, league entry fees, insurance, facility hire, referees fees, equipment and playing kit. A breakdown of predicted and actual expenditure will be required.

New teams must be affiliated to Northamptonshire FA for the 2017/18 season. Teams playing under-16s football in 2016/17, and under-18s or adult football in 2017/18, are eligible for funding.

New adult teams willing to achieve Charter Standard status within six months will be considered. Full support with achieving Charter Standard will be provided to successful applicants. Achieving Charter Standard will be a condition of receiving the funding.

The NFA reserves the right to request the return of some, or all, of the funding if the football club fails to commence delivery towards the agreed outcomes within three months of the grant start date.

Football clubs that have received funding from the NFA within the last 12 months may not be eligible – applications will be judged on a case-by-case basis.

The deadline for applications is Tuesday 30 May 2017. A panel will assess applications and clubs will be notified of the panel’s decision within three weeks. Funding will be released shortly afterwards by BACS transfer on receipt of a signed Service Level Agreement.

Applications can be submitted by completing this simple form.
