Verti-draining is a pitch maintenance process where steel tines are driven up to 10 inches into the ground to heave a small space in the subsoil, relieving compaction.
This space subsequently promotes drainage, root growth, exchange of air, water and other chemicals (fertilisers etc.), promoting a healthier pitch. After the process, the pitch is completely playable and only a small hole remains on the surface as evidence anything has happened.
Due to the predominant issue on grass surfaces in the county being compaction, the County FA, in partnership with the FA and Sport England, has invested in a verti-drain machine. This can be accessed by Northants FA affiliated club at a much reduced rate.
We also add further discount on for multiple pitches. We will consider working on local authority managed pitches or pitches with other land owners if they contact us directly. Clubs who hire pitches on a weekly basis from others must contact them first.
Sites that have engaged with the Pitch Improvement Program, or are willing to by booking a pitch test, are entitled to further discounts. Please CLICK HERE
