County FA Recruiting for 2017/18 Youth Council

Northamptonshire County FA is currently recruiting ten 15-24-year-olds to join its Youth Council for the 2017/18 season.
Aimed at giving young people a voice within football, The Youth Council had six members last season aged between 15-24 who represented children and young people across a number of meetings and events.

The structure and roles of the Youth Council reflect that of the County FA staff and will guide the priorities of the group moving forwards. The goals developed by The Northamptonshire FA Youth Council are drawn from the County Development plan, of which the Youth Council was consulted on during the previous season.

The Youth Council currently has a position on NFA Full Council, The NFA Youth, Leagues and Clubs committee as well as the NFA Inclusion Advisory Group.

A large success from last season included two members attending The FA National Young Leadership Academy at St. Georges’ Park.

All roles with The Northamptonshire FA Youth Council are voluntary.

Successful candidates will be expected to attend all Northamptonshire FA Youth Council meetings throughout the year. Meetings will be held at Northamptonshire FA HQ (Moulton Park, Northampton) however this may be changed dependent on the location of applicants. Meeting dates will be confirmed in August.
