PDFL Name Squad for Interleague Competition

This season's FA Interleague Competition sees the Peterborough & District Football League take on the Isle of Man Football League.

The Isle of Man representative XI has won the FA Inter-League Cup on two occasions. In 2006 they beat the Cambridgeshire County League and qualified for the 2007 UEFA Regions' Cup, being eliminated in the group stage in Czech Republic. They won the Inter-League Cup again in 2013, but again were eliminated in the group stage of the Regions Cup, this time in Slovakia.

The PDFL representative squad will be managed by PDFL board member and AFC Stanground Sports player Darren Fogg, who will be supported by Pete Foskett (physio) and his yet to be decided assistant manager.

After much deliberation, the management team have decided on their squad. The majority of the players coming from Premier Division teams; with the exception of Jamie Darlow of Division One side Ramsey Town.

The squad for this match is: Lee Brook (Leverington Sports), Connor Barker (AFC Stanground Sports), Ryan Wood (Netherton United), Mark Oxenham (Peterborough Sports Reserves), Chris Hansford (Netherton United), Ben Daly (Netherton United), Callum Madigan (Netherton United), Gareth Knowles (AFC Stanground Sports), Kevin Brader (Peterborough Sports Reserves), Mark Baines (Netherton United), Liam Merryweather (Thorney), Aaron Dunmore (AFC Stanground Sports), Dan Woods (Moulton Harrox FC), Jamie Darlow(Ramsey Town), Scott Spearink (Peterborough ICA Sports), Ondre Odain (Netherton United) and Luke Ball (Stamford Lions).

The PDFL representative squad enter this game with much optimism and hope of progressing further. Preparation is well under way and includes a friendly against Cambridgeshire FA, which will take place on Tuesday 19 September at Chatteris Town FC.

Northants Combination will also be taking part in the competition. They will be facing the Humber Premier League in a home tie. Below are all the fixtures for the first round and the dates of the rounds to follow.
