Match Delegate Roles

In a bid to support as many grassroots referees, clubs and leagues as possible, Northamptonshire FA is introducing a new Match Delegate role.

The Match Delegate role is designed to offer support to referees in situations including but not limited to:

•    Matches that may be challenging
•    Matches involving teams with a poor discipline
•    Referees who have had difficult experiences in recent matches

The delegate will act as a buffer between referee and clubs on the day, and will help clarify any decisions which may have been contentious. It is important to note that there is no requirement for these delegates to be qualified match officials past or present, but the selection process will be stringent to ensure we have the correct type of person fulfilling the role.

The Match Delegate role profile can be found HERE

If you wish to apply to be a Match Delegate, please send an expression of your interest in the role to luke.scott@northantsfa.com, with a brief outline as to why you think you would be suitable for the role.  Please also pass this role profile onto anyone who you think may be suitable.

This is a voluntary role, but NFA will cover all travel expenses incurred whilst fulfilling the role.
