The Northamptonshire FA are saddened to hear of the passing of Northampton Town’s former Facilities Manager Steve Inwood.

"We would all like to say how very saddened we were to learn of the very tragic news of the sudden death of Steve Inwood.

Steve was Chairman of our Under 18’s County Rep Team, Vice Chairman of the Northants Senior Youth League and, of course, the former Stadium Manager at Northampton Town Football Club. Steve also had a spell as a coach for Leicester City FC. As a player, he appeared for many local sides including Northampton Spencer and Moulton FC.

Steve was a massive Chelsea fan and would attend midweek matches at Stamford Bridge as often as he could. He would often recall the Liverpool game when they came from two down as one of the most passionate games he had ever seen.

We all have so many happy memories of our County games in his company, never a dull moment and full of banter and humour. He will be sadly missed by us all and our condolences and thoughts go out to all his family at this very sad time. Thanks for the memories Steve…"
