Women and Girls

Women's and Girls' football continues to be the number one female team sport, as 1.38 million girls and women play various forms of the game in England.

It is our aim at Northamptonshire FA to engage with female players whatever their age or ability and to point them towards opportunities that are right for them.

Whether you’re a beginner and want to try football for the first time, want to push yourself at a higher level, or you’ve been away from the game for a period of time and wish to get back into it, there are opportunities for you.

Northamptonshire FA Development Officers are available to assist in the development of all aspects of the women’s and girls’ game, with the primary aim being to increase participation and improve access to local playing opportunities.

In the county we have over 50 female youth teams and 25 female adult teams playing within the Womens Football Pyramid. We also run an Advanced Coaching Centre for talented individuals and a Female Futsal League.
