Advanced Coaching Centre

Northamptonshire FA are proud to run the Girls Talent Pathway across the county. The talent pathway is split into 2 centres:

The Advanced Coaching Centre for U11-U16s (ACC)

The Advanced Development Centre for U9/10s (ADC)

The Advanced Coaching Centre is the FA licensed and funded centre. The girls will receive 1.5 hours of coaching per week including physical performance coaching and lifestyle workshops. They will receive a full kit package and will take part in approximately 9 fixtures throughout the year. We also have a specialised goalkeeping coach to help develop any players wishing to play in goal.

The Advanced Development Centre is designed to be an introduction to the pathway at U9/10. The girls can expect an hour’s training session per week and approximately 6 matches throughout the year. They will have access to the same physical performance coaching and lifestyle workshops that the Advanced Coaching Centre have. We also have the opportunity for any budding goalkeepers to work with our goalkeeping coach.

How are places offered?

We run trials every July, however occasionally places do come up throughout the season and so players may be invited to come along after being spotted playing for their club or school. If you are interested in trialling for us you can contact our centre manager at Chloe.Brown@NorthantsFA.com

Can I still play for my current team?

Yes, to be in our centre you must be playing for a club. Most of our girls play mixed football or at least train in mixed football. Often our players will   play/train with 2 clubs in either futsal or football.

What are the next steps from your centre?

We select players from the ACC to attend England camps, squads and development opportunities. Players who attend these are then supported within our centre to work on the feedback they have been given from England level.
