Get involved in women's football locally

WOMEN'S FOOTBALL IS ON THE RISE IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE.

Women's football continues to be the number one female team sport, as 1.38 million females play various forms of the game in England.

It is our aim at Northamptonshire FA to engage with female players whatever their age or ability and to point them towards opportunities that are right for them.

Whether you’re a beginner and want to try football for the first time, want to push yourself at a higher level, or you’ve been away from the game for a period of time and wish to get back into it, there are opportunities for you.

Northamptonshire FA development officers are available to assist in the development of all aspects of the women’s game, with the primary aim being to increase participation and improve access to local playing opportunities.

In the county we have over 25 female adult teams playing within the Women's football pyramid, in addition to a Female Futsal League.

Women's Indoor Football

We know there is a gap in the market for women to play football with friends in a fun, social setting. That’s why we run an indoor football session for women every Tuesday from 8pm – 9pm at Arena Sport Kettering.

Your first session is free – after that it's just £4 per player.

Women's Football Pyramid

The competition structure for women’s open-age football is known as the Women’s Football Pyramid and is regulated by the Women’s Football Pyramid regulations.

At the foundation of the Pyramid are the county leagues and this is where new teams join the competition structure.
