This year’s Northants FA Lower Junior Cup Final will be contested by AFC Houghton Magna from the Teamwork Sports & Trophy Centre Northants Combination and Bugbrooke SM Reserves, who play in the Chromsports UCL, at Kettering  Town FC on Tuesday 17 April (7:30pm KO). 

High-flying Bugbrooke Reserves currently sit fourth in the UCL table, while AFC Houghton Magna’s route to the final saw them defeat strong Combination teams including Weldon and Corby Kingswood. 

The final will be a good measurement of the difference in skill between the two leagues; and in selecting Kettering Town as the venue for the final, the County Cup Committee have demonstrated the value they place on the competition. 

Having watched both sides on their route to the final, NFA officer in charge, Richard Gardner, anticipates a close game. “Never mind the excitement of recent Champions league games, come along and support local teams seeking cup final glory!”
