NOVEMBERS NFA ACCREDITED CLUB OF THE MONTH

November’s England Football accredited club of the Month – Finedon Volta Juniors

Northants FA would like to congratulate Finedon Volta Juniors who have been voted the EFA club of the month award for November

Finedon Volta Juniors run 16 teams with over 200 registered players playing in the Weetabix league. The past 12 months have seen huge changes within the club.  They have worked hard to source a new home ground in Irthlingborough, working closely with Huxlow Academy to provide and improve their facilities to secure a better footballing experience for their members.

Winning of this award is very fitting as The England Football Accredited club award is given to clubs who demonstrate exceptional best practice while supporting the ethos of the England Football Accreditation status.

Recently the club experienced a challenging time, the committee came together and communicated to a high standard directly with the Safeguarding team at Northants FA, this resulted in the incident being identified, reported and resolved in an excellent timeframe in such a manner that it was recognised by Statutory Agencies.

The Club conducted themselves professionally throughout the incident and considered several options. They engaged with their coaches and parents informing them on steps that had to be put in place. The robust systems and communication that are embedded in Finedon Volta, along with the safeguarding processes meant that they are a leadership club in putting safeguarding practices, processes, and policy in place, effectively.

Debbie Preston, NFA Football Development lead commented, ‘Finedon volta juniors have conducted themselves as a shining beacon in how to embed a club ethos that is sturdy & affective and all at the NFA want to congratulate them on achieving the November Award.
