Northants United Play First Friendly Match

On Sunday 14th April Northants United held a friendly match for the players to give opportunity for first game.

On Sunday 14th April we held a friendly match for the Northants United players. The boys have not ever played in a competitive and professional match before and had the first opportunity to play a game with Blisworth FC.. this was a great experience for the young kickers and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We then awarded both teams with medals on behalf of Northants FA and Northants United Coaches
Was a well and truly fun day of football from all.

Northants United was an initiative from Northants FA and the IAG Group to encourage  and focus on more participation from ethnic minority backgrounds.
The IAG group wanted to create an environment where anyone and everyone is welcome to play football regardless of abilities and make football for all.

Raff Miah (project lead) said 'What we look to offer is training and development and then support and signpost players into league teams and hopefully by then they won’t be just left on the sub bench or dropped within a few weeks as their ability will be at a reasonable level.
We run Northants United every Sunday at Malcolm Arnold School between 12pm and 1pm and would welcome anyone from this group to pay a visit whenever you are free 😊'.
