VACANCY - FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Northamptonshire FA for an enthusiastic, passionate leader to join our team in the newly created role of Football Development Manager on a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing and supporting the disability pathway, as well as leading our small team of Football Development Officers who are responsible for the male and female pathways.

This new role has been created to enhance our efforts to make Northamptonshire an inclusive environment to play football. We welcome candidates with the required drive and experience to deliver this vital area of work.
Location: Northamptonshire FA offices, with potential for some hybrid working
Hours: 35 hours per week – some evening and weekend work will be required at times
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £31,000
Deadline: 9am on Tuesday 2nd April
Reports to: Head of Facilities & Development


The next 12 months is a crucial time for Northamptonshire FA. Summer 2024 will see us begin our new football strategy for Northamptonshire, and the postholder will play an influential role in helping us shape what our current and future offer is for the disability, male and female pathways. 
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive culture in football, as well as someone with leadership or management experience in a related field.
The successful candidate will work closely with our clubs and leagues to support disability football provision across a range of settings, from Comets sessions for our youngest players, through to helping to grow walking football, and everything in between!  
This role will support clubs to grow their disability football provision and achieve 2* and 3* England Football accreditation. 
The role requires a good understanding of grassroots football. The ability to manage a diverse work programme and multiple priorities is also a requirement, as well as good communication and project-planning skills.
