Kettering Futsal Club Match Report

KFC v Solihull- National Futsal League Midlands Division 2

Kettering Futsal Club continue their winning ways with a victory over Solihull in the National Futsal League Midlands Division 2.

The club, making their debut season in the league, now sit in 2nd place with a game in hand to Newbury.  Sundays game played at North Solihull Sports Centre saw Kettering get off to a good start with 2 goals inside the opening 8 minutes.  They controlled the remainder of the first half and had the opportunity score more by half time.

A change of tactics at half time saw Solihull on the attack and they soon were back on level terms within minutes of the 2nd half. A tactical timeout was called by Kettering manager Sam Hallett to organise his team, and Kettering responded immediately regaining their lead.

The goals came in quick succession from there as the Northamptonshire club moved away to take their goal tally to 9 with Solihull claiming a late consolation leaving the score 9-3.  Kettering's goal scorers were Chris Hutchinson (3) Mark Redding (2) Tony Bartlett, Mitch Barratt, Stevo Bright and James Lorimer with solo efforts.
