New Charter Standard Development Club in Northamptonshire

Northants FA is delighted to announce that Rothwell F.C. Aztec has been awarded the FA Charter Standard Development Club status.

To reach the FA Charter Standard Development Club status, a club must have a minimum of five teams covering at least four age groups. FC Aztec currently boasts over 18 teams, offering football to girls and boys from ages U7 to U18.

One of the requirements of being a Charter Standard Development Club is that the club puts together a comprehensive development plan, which is a shared vision for the whole club - from committee members to players, parents and volunteers.

Debbie Preston, who oversees the Charter Standard process for the NFA, said: “It is always excellent to see well-run clubs like FC Aztec attain the next level of Charter Standard, as it demonstrates that the club is wanting to develop and get even better.

“My personal congratulations go to all involved in the club and particular thanks to Simon Burgess for his efforts. I can only see the club going from strength to strength and all at the NFA will continue to support them on their journey.”
