Ramadan and Football

Ramadan Factsheet for Football

The Muslim month of Ramadan (in 2018) commences 15 May to 14 June for 30 days.

The FA has created a Ramadan Factsheet for football. This factsheet provides clubs, leagues and players with information on what Ramadan is and how it impacts on football.

Ramadan is the 9th month in the Islamic calendar and is also known as one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Ramadan lasts for one lunar month which is a maximum of 29 or 30 days and its start and ending dates are determined by the sighting of the moon.
