Alice Russell

England Call-Up for Girls' Advanced Coaching Centre Member

Alice Russell is the latest player from Northamptonshire FA’s Girls Advanced Coaching Centre to be called up for an England camp.

Alice will attend the England National Performance Camp on Friday 22 February on a residential camp over two nights, where she will take part in training sessions, workshops and a match alongside the best girls in the country.

The National Performance Camp is the highest level that a player can reach at under-14s.

This is Alice’s second season in the Advanced Coaching Centre – and she has shown great progress throughout this time.

Advanced Coaching Centre Manager, Chloe Brown, said: “Alice has worked incredibly hard over the time she has been with us and it is fantastic to see her rewarded. Not only has she pushed herself in the Centre but she has also pushed herself away from the Centre in her grassroots clubs too. We are very proud of Alice and feel she deserves this opportunity.”

Alice added: “It was an amazing surprise to be selected, especially with not going to the regional camps before. I am nervous but yet very excited to have the opportunity to play alongside other great players and be coached by top coaches. It will be a great learning step and a fantastic experience - I can’t wait.”
