Football V Homophobia Month of Action Events

Northamptonshire FA is inviting clubs to register their involvement

Football v Homophobia Grassroots is an initiative supported by Puma to get grassroots football clubs to take action to tackle LGBT+ discrimination in football throughout February; the Football v Homophobia Month of Action.
Whilst Covid-19 has disrupted the playing season, the Month of Action will still go ahead and Northamptonshire FA is inviting clubs to register their involvement in the Month of Action via the link below.

As the majority of football is suspended during February, we are asking clubs to take some time during this pause to reflect on their current position around LGBT+ inclusion. Clubs can use the Month of Action to share a meaningful action, or actions, that will be taken to increase LGBT+ inclusion and to take a stand against LGBT+ phobia.

Clubs will still be able to dedicate a matchday to Football v Homophobia and receive a rainbow football; however clubs can do this at a time which they feel is safe. More information can be found here

To support clubs and individuals taking action, a series of virtual webinars, workshops and panel discussions will be taking place. These will be thought provoking, encourage reflection and amplify voices. The Football v Homophobia Youth Panel are also hosting a series of events for younger audiences, although people of any age can attend.
