Frank Hobbs
Northamptonshire Football Association is saddened to hear of the recent passing of Daventry Town FC President, Frank Hobbs.
The much-loved Frank now joins his wife Anne who sadly passed away in the same hospital, earlier this month. Widely regarded as the longest serving volunteer in grassroots football, Frank spent over 80 years involved with the football club, starting with putting corner flags out on matchdays as a 10-year old.
He then represented the club in just about every role; goalkeeper, groundsman, kit man, coach, manager, secretary and chairman before taking his last post, that of club president.
Our thoughts are with the Hobbs family at this very sad time.
RIP Frank and Anne…Mr & Mrs Daventry Town.
