Northamptonshire FA were proud to deliver the second Football Inclusion Festival at Wellingborough Old Grammarians on 25th June 2023.

The festival continued on from the festival delivered back in November 2022 offering a competitive platform for U12 teams and Open Age teams. Alongside this, teams were provided an opportunity to socialise with their fellow competitors whilst enjoying food and drinks.

Under the blistering heat, both age groups were dominated by Northampton Town who ultimately became double title winners on the day. Corby Town, Netherton and Kettering stood against them with each team offering very high standards of play, however the sheer strength of Northampton Town saw them close out the day. A special mention should be given to the new Kettering FC Open Age team that saw many young adults compete for the first time in adult Football.

NFA are now preparing to launch a new Open Age Ability Matters League in partnership with Cambridgeshire and Huntington FA for the 2023/24 season.
