Across Saturday 4th May and Sunday 5th May a group of Northants Referees will be taking part in the Isle of Wight Challenge. 21 individuals will be taking on various different events with the majority attempting the Full Continuous 106km challenge in support of Team Daisy.

Team Daisy was established by Northants Referee Wayne Chalmers five and a half years ago in memory of Daisy Chalmers, who tragically passed away due to a heart defect shortly after her birth. The family extends support to others experiencing a similar time of need as they did, and they are dedicated to enhancing the bereavement facilities at Northampton General Hospital.

'Team Daisy has raised around £35,000 over the past five-and-a-half years and although this has been given to multiple charities, the majority has been donated to Northamptonshire Health Charity to get the Daisy Suite up and running. All money raised this year will also go towards the suite.' (Northampton Chronicle & Echo)
