Netherton United Raise Money for Whizz-Kidz
Netherton United Walking Footballers recently staged a St George’s Day fixture and donated £105 to Whizz-Kidz, which is a charity providing vital mobility equipment and life journey services for children and young people.
The game was inspired by Netherton United player Jack Seddon, who is part of a team of employees from Simply Business who are supporting Whiz-Kidz with the aim of raising £150,000 for the Charity over three years.
Pictured with the teams is Jean Oliver, who presented the trophy to the winning side. After making the presentation, Jean said: “The Whizz-Kidz is a great charity that transforms the lives of disabled children. Not only does it provide mobility for our youngsters but also provides opportunities for friendship, fun and training to help them acquire skills for a bright future.
“At Netherton we are pleased to combine our passion for football with the chance to make a small contribution to this very worthy cause.”
Northamptonshire FA would like to congratulate Netherton United on their efforts and encourage anyone interested in donating to Whizz-Kidz to visit the link below.
