Free Mental Health Workshops for Grassroots Community

Join Northamptonshire FA and Public Health Northamptonshire for two free virtual mental health workshops.

Northamptonshire FA is pleased to provide members of the local grassroots football community with access to two mental health workshops in the coming fortnight, which are being hosted by Public Health Northamptonshire.

Adults – Wellbeing & Resilience Training
Tuesday 30 March 2021 – 9.30am to 11am

This free 90 minute train-the-trainer Zoom session is designed to offer ideas to support the wellbeing and resilience of adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The session will provide an opportunity to identify potential areas for improvement in your own wellbeing, along with practical strategies for coping with times when you may feel overwhelmed.   

Suitable for any colleagues working as part of the grass-roots football association.

Learning objectives for this workshop are:

To be aware of the impacts of COVID-19 on wellbeing and mental health
Be able to recognise early signs of decreased wellbeing and resilience in self and others
Know some strategies to support my wellbeing and that of others

Children & Young People – Wellbeing & Resilience Training
Wednesday 31 March 2021 – 9.30am to 11am
Tuesday 6 April 2021 – 5pm to 6.30pm 

This free 90 minute, train-the-trainer Zoom session designed to offer ideas for adults to support the wellbeing, resilience and mental health of children and young people during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Suitable for any colleagues working as part of the grassroots football association.

The session will build on topics covered in Workshop 1 and cover areas such as loss, bereavement, anxiety, low mood, stress and trauma in the context of Covid-19. 

The aim of this workshop is to: 

Improve understanding of how COVID-19 is affecting children and young people’s wellbeing and mental health

Increase your ability to recognise early warning signs of mental health issues in children and young people
Help you to support children who are struggling to cope during the pandemic; including signposting to relevant services
