16-25 Year Olds Invited to Apply to Join NEW NFA Youth Council
The Northamptonshire FA are currently recruiting ten 16 to 25-year-olds to join the Northamptonshire FA Youth Council for the 2016/17 season.
The Northamptonshire FA is delighted to announce that we are now recruiting for the 2016/17 Northamptonshire FA Youth Council.
We are looking for 10 young people between the ages of 16 to 25 from across Northamptonshire to represent children and young people and help shape and develop football within the county.
The newly-appointed team of young people will build on the success of the Football Futures programme the NFA ran from 2009 to 2015. The structure and roles reflect that of the County FA roles and will guide the priorities of the group moving forwards. The goals developed by The Northamptonshire FA Youth Council are drawn from the County Development Plan, which the group determined to have an impact on increasing the number of children and young people (CYP) playing, and volunteering in football as well as developing a children and young people network across the county.
Jack Patmore who sits on the FA National Youth Council and is currently employed by the Northamptonshire FA will be leading on the project and said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for ten new recruits to really get involved with grassroots football and change the game for the better.
“Having been a member of the NFA Football Futures programme and having sat on the National Youth Council, it’s great to see the NFA looking to recruit young people who can provide a new view on football across the county.
“In addition, this is a great opportunity for the applicants to gain broaden their skillset and experiences.”
All roles with The Northamptonshire FA Youth Council are voluntary.
Successful candidates will be expected to attend all Northamptonshire FA Youth Council meetings throughout the year. Meetings will be held at Northamptonshire FA HQ (Moulton Park, Northampton) however this may be changed dependent on the location of applicants. Meeting dates will be confirmed in August.
Timeline for Recruitment
Wednesday 13th July 2016 - application deadline.
Tuesday 19th July 2016 – Interviews for Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and other positions where applications are close.
All other decisions will be made based upon the quality of applications.
All candidates will be informed whether their application has been successful/unsuccessful by no later than Wednesday 20th July 2016 at 5:00pm.
